The WESC Foundation is one of the UK’s oldest and most respected visual impairment charities.
This campaign film was aimed at increasing awareness and to strengthen the association between WESC and the ‘blind school’ that it is so often referred as. Focusing on the concept of #ExetersBlindSpot, the campaign highlights how the people of Exeter are ironically blind to the life-changing work WESC provides every day. AB worked with WESC’s marketing and fundraising team, then researched and analysed the local community to ensure the creative idea was compelling and relevant. Social media engagement is key to the campaign, as well as using data to underpin targeting for display, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube advertising.
The WESC Foundation is a specialist day and residential centre offering a unique experience for young people and adults with visual impairment including complex needs. The need to communicate their core values, ethos and practices was communicated in this film which features both WESC staff and learners. The film was used on the website and also at key stakeholder presentations.
