Exeter Cathedral is one of the biggest tourist attractions in the South West. A stunning structure with phenomenal gothic architecture; it’s a building that can rival any in the country for sheer heritage and character. We were tasked with creating a website that should be bold and ambitious, yet reflect the Cathedral’s mission ‘to be a diverse organisation working, under God, to meet the needs of a wide variety of stakeholders’. Due to the success of our relationship, we also worked in partnership with the Cathedral to launch the Exeter Cathedral Christmas Market by creating the visual identity and helping to promote the market on all social channels.
Create an ambitious website that reflects Exeter Cathedral’s place as a cornerstone of the community, noting the challenges that internal stakeholders face whilst showcasing the stunning structure to potential visitors. Seamlessly integrate with the Cathedral’s event management system to display daily calendar, service schedule and events.
Appreciate how the site has to work for a number of audiences and plan the user experience accordingly. Work with a photographer to create a bank of imagery that does Exeter Cathedral justice.

A successful digital marketing campaign was executed across Search, Display and Social which identified where potential Christmas Market visitors would be spending their time, resulting in a huge uplift in visitors.
