Doosan Babcock PLC

Doosan Babcock are specialist in the delivery of engineering, aftermarket and upgrade services to the thermal power, nuclear, oil and gas, petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries.


The Brief

The report’s chief objective was to track their progress as a responsible corporate organisation, and to reassure their employees, customers, business partners and society at large of their commitment to sustainable and ethical operations.

Our Approach

This was Doosan Babcock’s first Corporate Social Responsibility Report and proved to be a very positive experience for the organisation. We worked with DNV GL on this project – they led the content generation and data gathering element while our role was to design the report. We also discussed the report’s internal and external launch and put together a campaign plan including a digital marketing strategy and promotional film.

Bringing the report to life

A key element of Doosan’s CSR is their ‘contract with society’ – the Doosan Way. To bring this to life we used images of Doosan people in the workplace and in the community e.g. Doosan’s annual Day of Community Service.

The Solution

Doosan Babcock’s first Corporate Social Responsibility Report was titled ‘Making a positive difference’. The report structure focused on their CSR programme and progress across their global operations during 2014, as well as detailing targets for the future.

The report was pushed internally to their staff and has a prominent position in the CSR section of the website. We also put together an interactive PDF version to include videos of staff helping in their communities.
