Web Developer

We’re looking for a brilliant junior or middleweight Web Developer to join our team

What we do

Here at AB we help businesses grow by building stronger brands and creating positive experiences.

We’re a brand and marketing agency (headquartered in Exeter with an office in London) that works across various sectors including engineering, technology, utilities, education, tourism, food and beverages and more.

We have a Web Development team looking after and building new websites, CRMs and web applications for our clients. Our Developers work closely with our Account Management, Designers and Digital Marketing teams on a day-to-day basis.

The Role

This role is based at our HQ in Exeter and you’ll need to be there on occasion. Our Web Development team plays a key role within our agency and you’ll become an important part of that team.

Part time applications will also be considered.

Ability to demonstrate a proven track record of delivering high quality websites / web applications, using:

  • Up to date PHP knowledge
  • Laravel and WordPress
  • Strong front end skills
  • Relational Database experience esp. MySQL
  • Useful level of Javascript e.g. jQuery
  • HTML / CSS

Would also be great if you have an understanding of:

  • SASS or LESS
  • Version control (Bitbucket)
  • Vagrant
  • Linux server admin
  • Nginx
  • Adobe Creative Suite
  • Jira

As a Web Developer, you will need the following skills and personal qualities:

  • Comfortable working as part of a team
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple projects at a time
  • Curiosity by the bucket load! We love people who are keen to learn about anything and everything
  • Commercially aware
