Summer holiday cancelled? Send a staycation postcard!

BY:

Choose from our set of free, cheeky staycation postcards to let everyone know what a jolly holiday you’re having – at home.

Let’s face it, one of the many joys of going on holiday is showing off to the folk back home. It’s all part of the experience. In fact, a third of millennials said that posting holiday pictures on social media is as important as the holiday itself.

2020: the year of the staycation

Unfortunately, it looks like we’re all not going on a summer holiday. Health Secretary Matt Hancock told ITV’s This Morning that it’s unlikely that international holidays are going to be possible this summer. The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) has advised against non-essential travel.

So, it looks like 2020 is well and truly the year of the staycation. We’re swapping the Costa del Sol for the Costa del Sofa. It’s time to work on that quarantan and embrace livin’ la vida lockdown.

Here are our top tips for getting that holiday feeling at home:

  • Rename your lounge ‘the departures lounge’.
  • Go to bed at 4am and set your alarm for 6.30am, so you can enjoy that jetlagged feeling for the day.
  • Pretend you’re in a hotel by getting your family to bring meals to your room. No doubt they’ll love the chance to feel involved!
  • Pour all your liquids into 100ml bottles.
  • Post one of our digital staycation postcards on social media.
