Many sites are launched with fantastic functionality, engaging design and brilliant film footage but what about the copy.
Copy is so important for not only Search Engine Optimisation reasons but also for the very purpose of the site: engaging your audience. So it’s worth reviewing all the copy on your site on a regular basis post-launch.
Key points for me are writing about the benefit and not just the feature as this is what the audience wants to know – what’s in it for them.
And make sure there is a Call to action – I’ve made the effort to go to your site, lead me to the exciting stuff with a call to action – view, read, download, share – seems obvious but many sites miss this out.
